Narrative
The series follows a struggling high school heavy metal band made up of outcasts who take advantage of the town’s sudden interest in the occult to build a reputation as a satanic metal band, until a series of strange events lead to a witch hunt. .
I went into this series completely blind, and my first impression was that it was going to be a satirical comedy about 1980s satanic horror
Hysteria by Def Lepard, Heaven’s on Fire by KISS, Speaking in Tongues by Meatloaf, Can You Play with Madness by Iron Maiden, Can You Die Young by Black Sabbath, Mother by Danzig, It’s Late by Queen and Dance Macabre by Ghost . Once again, it’s another 80s throwback where most of the actors seem to be playing characters from the 80s in 2024 and getting it completely wrong.
Plots are everywhere, but they often come together
I watched this in one day, it could have been a 2 hour movie. The not-so-subtle ending really ruined what could have been an incredible conclusion.
I can’t recommend the series, but it’s not bad
This is definitely a one-off series that will never be rewatched. They really missed the point of the 80’s Satanic Panic when we all knew how ridiculous it was.
